Terms of Service

Social Edam helps you plan, create, schedule, publish, and analyze content across social media platforms. The Service lets you connect accounts you own or are authorized to manage, generate and edit content with the help of AI, schedule posts for future publishing, and review performance data returned by those platforms.

We publish content to a connected platform only when you instruct us to — by publishing directly or by scheduling a post. We do not post on your behalf without such an instruction.

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

To publish or read analytics, you connect third-party accounts and Pages through each platform's official authorization flow. You grant only the permissions shown to you during that flow, and you may revoke them at any time — from within Social Edam under Settings → Social Accounts, or from the platform's own settings.

You confirm that you own, or are authorized to manage, every account and Page you connect. Your use of each connected platform remains subject to that platform's own terms and policies, and those terms take precedence over ours in the event of a conflict. We are not responsible for a platform changing, restricting, or withdrawing access to its API.

Access tokens are stored encrypted and are used solely to perform the actions you request. We never sell platform data, and we do not use it to build advertising or user profiles.

You retain ownership of everything you create, upload, or publish through the Service. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit that content only as needed to operate the Service on your behalf — for example, to send a post to the platform you selected.

You are responsible for the content you publish, including content produced with AI assistance. AI output can be inaccurate or unsuitable; review it before publishing. You remain solely responsible for what appears on your accounts.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• publish content that is unlawful, deceptive, harassing, hateful, or that infringes another person's rights;
• send spam, run engagement-farming schemes, or operate accounts you are not authorized to manage;
• breach the terms, policies, or rate limits of any connected platform;
• reverse engineer the Service, probe its security, or attempt to access data belonging to other customers;
• resell or redistribute platform data obtained through the Service.

Paid plans are billed in advance on the interval shown at checkout and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the Service remains available until then. Free plans may have usage limits that we may adjust with notice.

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may add, change, or remove features. If we make a material change to these Terms, we will update the date above and, where the change significantly affects your rights, notify you through the Service or by email.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time — see our data deletion instructions. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if required to comply with a connected platform's policies, or if your use puts the Service or other customers at risk. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue.

On termination, we delete or de-identify your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI-generated content will be accurate, original, or suitable for your purpose, nor that a connected platform will accept, retain, or display any given post.

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of the Republic of Moldova, unless mandatory law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
